It’s that time of year again for The Housing Association of Nonprofit Developer’s (H.A.N.D) Children Art Contest.  Last year a resident from Overland Gardens Apartments in Landover, MD took home the runner-up prize. Her submission perfectly exemplified the theme, My Favorite Part of My Home and we hope to repeat the accomplishment.

This year HAND is asking children aged 5-12 to demonstrate “Who Needs Housing” through their art. Our leasing centers have all of the art supplies ready, simply stop by and get creative. We’d love to have a winner from one of our apartment communities, and to see a celebration with the $250 grand prize! Deadline is April 9, 2015 so come by soon!

In 2015 our challenge will be even greater.  Let’s try for once again having the Grand Prize Winner” and three “runner ups”! Please gear up, gather your supplies and begin another successful contest. Participants must be between the ages of 5-12. Artwork should demonstrate this year’s theme, “Who Needs Housing?” Stop by your leasing center for more information. Deadline to become a part of this amazing contest is April 9, 2015.
